We Can't See You Beating Us
Linda, David, Jim and Yvonne lost most of their sight in early adulthood. Despite their vision loss they now share one extraordinary experience: paddling together on a dragon boat team called “Eye of the Dragon”. They were up to the challenge of videotaping their reflections to better tell their stories.
"We Can't See You Beating Us" details four blind individuals’ uncommon achievement: recording their personal lives and compelling stories and sharing them with us through the medium of the camera lens.
The film-maker, Adelina Suvagau, achieves a unique feat among producers: she surrenders control of the camera to the visually impaired subjects managing to combine their images into a taught, tense, powerful story.
