Melanie Saumure

Mélanie Saumure (b.1977) is a documentary filmmaker and a photographer from Montreal. In 2007, she received with honors a BFA with a Specialization in Film Studies from Concordia University. In 2009, she completed an MFA in Documentary Media at Ryerson University. Her first short experimental documentary, Underdog, has been screened in several major films festivals in Montreal. Her latest work, Fragments de Corps, shot on black-and-white reversal 16mm film, is a study on movements and rhythm. She is currently living and working in Berlin, Germany.
